| Posted: | | | | Hi y'all.. I remember a discussion in the forums concerning the differences between US and UK crew credits (e.g. Director of Photography (US) = Lighting Camerman (UK)). Seeing as I own quite a few UK productions, I was wondering if anyone out there had a list with the corresponding US-->UK way of crediting. I've tried googling a few, but it's quite a bit of work going through the whole credits section of a movie/documentary, so I figured someone out there must have a list? Help greatly appreciated.... Edit; Oh - and as a bonus - if anyone has lists of other languages (Italian/French/German and so forth) that would really help also... | | | Berak

| Posted: | | | | The only one I can ever remember is that Dubbing Mixer is the exact same thing as Sound Re-Recording Mixer; per this thread which in turn links to the Association of Motion Picture Sound. EDIT: Actually that site has now changed, I can't see the page that used to be there with all the sound jobs. EDIT again: Nemmind, it's the Sound Job Descriptions button in the middle. Although that page is more confusing than it used to be. There's crossover between Sound Designer and Supervising Sound Editor, and Sound Recordist and Production Sound Mixer. Still, Dubbing Mixer is still untouched | | | Last edited: by Nadja |
