I'm trying to view my online collection with my iPhone. The problem I'm having is that normally one can scroll data in a frame using two fingers to scroll instead of one. This work fine on most web sites where there are separate scrollable frames on a given page. Unfortunately, this doesn't work with the online collection page. Instead, the entire page scrolls and you can't scroll the movie list in the left hand column. Perhaps the page isn't using frames?

Robert

Looks like frames to me. When viewing my online collection page and I right-click on the left frame and choose View Source from the menu, the source code references the parent.frame.

Also, viewing my online collection with my PDA, I'm able to scroll the left & right frames independently. Sounds like an issue with the iPhone and not the online collection page.

I have an answer, though it isn't of much use. It is an iPhone issue, sort of. It seems that the iPhone doesn't specify a window size, but instead lets the web site expand to its maximum width and then shrinks the font down. If this results in a page that is longer than will fit onto the screen, then you have to scroll, but you scroll the entire page. You can zoom in to make the font readable and scroll around vertically or horizontally. What this means for the online collection page is that you end up with a single page that is the width of the two frames (list and details) and is the length of all your content in the left hand list. The list can't be scrolled because it is already fully expanded. Apple says that if the page were constructed with a maximum length, then the frame would scroll.

This is something that Invelos can not fix.  Because each person's list is a different size, the length of the frame has to be undefined and flexible.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Theoretically it would be possible for Invelos, if the user agent of the browser is checked when creating the online collection display.
