| Posted: | | | | Hello, first thanks for this nice software and sorry for my bad english. I use it since some month and all was fine. But today I started it after weeks ago and I have now a big problem! Cause of this problem I can't use DVDProfiler. - The Tabs in den Filter-Window are without description - Some Buttons have no description - for Example the buttons in the option-Window have no description. Also the tabs in option-window to change to the different options. They are all blank - If I take the mouse over a button (to close the window or assume the preferences or something else) there came much error-messages. "Invalid floating point operation." So, DVDProfiler is unsuitable. Some weeks ago, I had no problem and I don't change anything. I use Windows Vista SP1 and I have full administration rights. - I have reinstalled DVDProfiler -> same problems - I have installed 3.5 beta version -> same problems - I changed visual styles to windows classic -> same problems - restart the computer -> same problems - change the language in DVDProfiler (which was very hard, cause of the error and missing descriptions) but also -> same problems I think, you would say: "If it runs without problems some weeks ago and now there are these problems, you changed something on your system". But see, I really changed nothing. And only in DVDProfiler are these problems. I've tested some other software on my PC and I have no problems. Problems only exists in DVDPfrofiler. I hope, anyone can help me. I think this is a very good software and I payed for it. And I would be very sad, if I can't use it anymore. |

| Posted: | | | | You've done all the things I would have tried. When you reinstalled Profiler, did you completely uninstall it first and remove all of the folders? (backing up your collection first, of course! Maybe running Windows Update and downloading any new updates might help? Sometimes in the past I've found that doin that sometimes makes slight changes that can improve problems like this. |

| Posted: | | | | Yes I have uninstalled it complete before reinstalling. No effect. And also no difference between version 3.1.1 and version 3.5 beta. My Windows is always up to date. There are no updates available. EDIT: I have updated graphics-driver. Problems still exists. I have no more ideas. I hope anyone can help me. | | | Last edited: by tobias1985 |

No tuning tools or design-tools. Quoting northbloke: Quote: You say you're running Vista - do you have automatic updates switched on? Is it possible something got changed without your knowledge? No, I update Vista manually. But my vista is updated. I think, if a vista-update do this problems, other users and other software also must have problems. For me, only DVDProfiler has this problems. No other software on my PC have problems. The installation of DVDProfiler has no problems. Only DVDProfiler itself has problems. |

| Posted: | | | | Sounds to me like a system font is missing. Did you remove any "unneeded" TrueTypes (*.ttf) lately?
Please check if you have Tahoma.ttf installed. DVDProfiler needs this. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Last time this happened was this thread and the solution was this: Quote: It is fixed!
First I want to thank you all very much for your time! I know there are a lot of things you can be doing on a Saturday and you decided to be helpful so that I can again use this product that I love.
My sincere thanks and positive feedback to all of you. Also you all get major Karma points!
The Tamoma font seems to have been the issue (good call 8ballMax!), even though all the Tahoma font were indeed present on my system. I did a quick search on the web and downloaded and reinstalled the font. This fully resolved my problem. Weird.
I should note that this was a PC problem - not a DVD Profiler issue.
Thanks again for all your help - I've got to go as I have some Blu-Ray DVDs to enter.... : ) John | | | Signature banned: Reason out of date... |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you very much!!! I installed the tahoma-font and the issue is solved. I didn't delete this font. Any other installation must be guilty. I think it's a good idea to add such solutions to the FAQ. |

| Posted: | | | | Even though the issue is resolved and it is not certain what caused the issue, for future reference I would advice NEVER to use a registry cleaner. The positive effect is minimal at best, and the negative consequences may be disastrous. | | | Hans |
