Verify the upc

When I tried to contribute the DVD "Wall Street Warriors Season 2" UPC#017742204193 I got the error that I should verify the upc!? I know that the upc# is 100% correct.
What am I doing wrong and how do I verify the upc#?

I think that the first digit should be a 6 (six) rather than a 0 (zero).
