| Posted: | | | | He is still working on adding stuff to the beta... so this list is not everything (we don't know everything yet).... but you can see a nice chunk of what is being added in a thread starting with THIS POST. If you read on for a couple pages there is a couple more features mentioned as well. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks, was hoping for some other things, but that seems to be a fair amount. Seems Ken is making the program more and more customizable.
The Easter Eggs field. Is that always blank, or are they stored in the movie database? | | | Thank You, Eric Vogel |

If the Easter Egg field is blank it is probably because no one has found or added any Egg info for that profile. It's up to us, the users, to add this info. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | I definitely agree... don't wait... it is well worth it!... and as was said about the Easter Eggs... it would be in the profile if any has been discovered for that release. I currently have 3165 profiles in my collection (counting the child profiles as well)... out of those I have approximately 300 profiles that contain Easter Eggs. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Don't forget that the list Pete posted a link to is just for the first beta. There are always multiple betas before the final public release and they will contain even more new features. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | Personally, ecvogel, instead of asking questions about a beta, which you can't access as a free user. Just plink down your $30 and dive into it with the rest of us. You will find no better program out there.

Skip Hello Skip. I am sorry everyone my name is Eric. I will have to update my profile to make a signature. I guess my concern too is the one time fee. What at some point if Ken or Invelos decides this does not generate money anymore, then start charging for updates. Once in a while a company will do this. I prefer not to spend money on something I can keep in Excel or get free, BUT, if I can get really good of my $30 for a great program that this maybe, I will pay it. I am on a extremely tight budget. | | | Thank You, Eric Vogel |

DVD Profiler Mobile DVD Profiler Plus
In all the years i have been around here, Ken has never once even hinted at ever going back against the one time fee. | | | Signature banned: Reason out of date... |

| Posted: | | | | Eric, don't worry about the future of DVD Profiler. As long as the program has been around, a 1 time fee had purchased a lifetime registration. I used the free version for less than 2 hours before I plunked down the (then) $25 fee and have no regrets.
As NewEnglander has pointed out, new programs and features will generate an income stream, in addition to more new users who discover the program. For the price of a couple DVDs you can't go wrong. | | | Kevin |

DVD Profiler Mobile DVD Profiler Plus
In all the years i have been around here, Ken has never once even hinted at ever going back against the one time fee. Thanks, glad to hear he has not gone back and has other ways to generate money. Sounds like this could be a side job, and I understand about not making a ton. I do not see anything about Profiler Plus. Did you mean DVD Profiler Mobile, DVD Profiler? Or is there a Plus version with more features? I do not see it on the website. I did take a big look around the program, and it looks I cannot go wrong. Everyone seems to be really responsive and helpful in the forums too which is another plus. I will head over to buy it once I get the answer above. | | | Thank You, Eric Vogel |

| Posted: | | | | DVD Profiler Plus is a soon to be released updated version of the web based part of the collection... past that we really don't know what it will include, except that it will be either a monthly or annual fee which many of us out of sheer respect and experience with this company will pay for on day one. The best guess we have is that it will be a fully customizable online collection with various search options... it has been a thing of myth around here for awhile... but it has been stated that it will be released after 3.5 goes public.
To add on to what others have said about not worrying that the one time fee model will go away, it's important to keep in mind that about a year and a half ago this program was actually owned by another company - there was quite the legal struggle that has gotten us to where we are now, and all through that, Ken (the creator, developer, and current full owner of this software) has always made it very clear and a priority that any users who paid the one time fee would be upgraded forever. | | | -JoN | | | Last edited: by ruineddaydreams |

That sounds more than fair. You have it, free for life. If he changes only for new users. Off to the registration tab. Thank you so much everyone for your help! Eric | | | Thank You, Eric Vogel |
