Hi,
it would be nice to be able to set the default search when adding DVD etc my name to just one type instead of always defaulting to all types. I know that I will not be investing in HDDVD or BlurRay any time soon so would like to restrict that search to DVD only.
Any possibility this could become available?

it is a pain to have to try and untick HD-DVd every single time since I have no intention of buying those.

We can set a default region - why not default type(s)?

I think you misread the OPs request.

She want's to be able to have a default selection in the Add DVD window to remember to only filter on DVDs and not include the HD-DVD & Blu-Ray titles in the selection criteria. As it stands now, you have to uncheck HD-DVD and Blu-Ray during each session.

I would like to see that too.
Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer.

Yeah, the majority of my purchases are still DVDs. It would be nice to be able to "hide" the HD titles by default until such time as you want them there.

I fully support this. My purchases still are all DVD, and I don't see myself going blu anytime soon.

I was disappointed that the 3.5 beta still doesn't have this feature.

And it seems like whenever I do it, I can't de-select both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray at the same time, but must do each one individually.

But I agree with this request.  Make it something that can be handled in the user profile.
