| Posted: | | | | HI All,
This may be out of place, but I couldn't figure out where to post this, so I'm making a new topic and posting it here.
I've spent alot of time in the last couple of days getting to know DVD Profiler and trying to fill in missing information from my collection. I learned alot about the complete "info" to be entered into the Database and not just from the existing Profiles (or lack there of) that exists in the Main Database.
Here's my problem. I spent several hours updating 5 DVD's in my Collection. They are the Knight Rider Series that Columbia House re-tv had put out a few years ago and when I first added these to my collection, I either used the bogus barcode ( no actual barcode, just a string of numbers ) on the back of the DVD Case, or I added it some other way. I honestly don't remember how it originally got into my Database, but it really bothered me that the Images were of poor quality or didn't exist at all and I noticed that alot of the Profile was incomplete. I completely updated the profiles for the 5 DVD's that I have in my collection and even went so far as to get all the Cast & Crew from the Credits within each episode and really did (in my opinion) a Great Job at updating the Profile for these Discs.
I attempted to "Contribute" these titles, and I get an error telling me that I can't do that because the UPC Code is invalid or the Disc ID isn't available. In my Profile, I went to the Discs Page and "Set" the Disc ID for each and I still can't upload my "Contribution".
How can I get all this hard work into the Contributions? I also updated all of the Cover Scans to a higher quality scan then what was available and I'd like to make these available to others too.
Thank You In Advance for any and All Help provided. |

| Posted: | | | | I think you're updating the disc id in the profile, rather than updating the disc id to replace the bogus UPC.
In the main top menu of Profiler go to DVD > Change UPC > Then tick the use current disc id box.
You obviously need to make sure the disc is in the drive. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

I was able to get the Correct Disc ID's entered and uploaded my Contributions.
Thanks Again! |
