How about this sort of thing:

When adding a DVD that is part of a series, for example: The Prisoner: Volume 4, Monty Python's Flying Circus: Volume 6 or Strongbad_email.exe: Volume 5; currently, you have to go through and add the same information as appears on a previous disc.

If there was an option to base the information on a previous disc in the series, it could auto-fill based on whatever fields you tick a checkbox as identical to the previous.

It would speed up disc additions for some, and you can then go through the disc details and make changes based on the current disc, as usual.

It would save a ton of the time that you would have spent re-inserting older data that hasn't changed, and you can move on to the more customized portions of the disc.
