| Posted: | | | | Okay, not sure if this is where this post should go, so if not, I'm sorry. I just started using this for the first time tonight and added my first DVD (Brooklyn Rules - first one I grabbed). This particular DVD was not already listed in invelos, what I was wondering, is there any way to pull the info for a movie (review, photo, cast, etc.) somewhere online (imdb, etc.) or do you have to manually add that information for the movie? Thank you! |

A profile for Brooklyn Rules exists for Region 1. If your DVD is from another Region you can download the Region 1 profile UPC 897246001041 and adjust it for your Region/Locality. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | Try not to say <whispering>imdb</whispering> aloud. The best way is to yes pull it from the disc manually. You could also search by title (vice by UPC) for the disc in other regions & localities and use that info as a starting point, though you really want to verify everything against your DVD. See the contribution forum for more details and reasons to pull your hair. Here's one recent thread on the same subject. Let me also be the first to mention The RulesEdit: and what Max said. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! | | | Last edited: by tweeter |

| Posted: | | | | Okay, I'm not sure what all that means. Is there a place I can change the region within my profiler? I contributed what I added for the movie online. Sorry, I'm a rookie. |

| Posted: | | | | Tweeter, thanks for the info. I'll have to read the rules of contributing to the database, seems pretty intense. I typically would just get my info from the back of the case, so I'm guessing that would not work. It appears that I'm in region 1 but when I go to online-refresh dvd from invelos-refresh profile and images - the info for my DVD does not update (it just stays as the info I've entered). Who knows, maybe for my first one, I went about it all wrong. I put the DVD in my drive and it recgonized it but it did not find any info for the dvd to put into my profile. The other reason I asked about (whisper) imdb (whisper) is because I noticed there is a link to get to their website through the profile under "Online" and "Other websites". Okay, sorry for the rambling. Thanks for any help guys. |

| Posted: | | | | See the toolbar button with the green plus sign over the DVD (from the menu do DVD|Add to Collection)?
Click that and enter the UPC found somewhere on the DVD jacket. If entered correctly the title should be found and you can click the Add DVD button, then click Add Now to Owned.
That will be faster than dropping DVDs into the drive and more certain to find something. UPC/EAN codes are the main key for all DVD.
See where that gets you. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |
