Well, the title says it all
Am I correct if a tv-series has the following profile:
parent
- overview from cover
children
- episode titles and synopsis
In the contribution rules I can read to set up a child profile in the same way as the parent, but since inidividual discs don't have a cover (most of the time) I just want to check whether an episode synopsis may be contributed.

Most of the time, we only include episode titles in the overview.

But check out addicted2dvd's topic on episode guides here.

He has set up a website where you can download more than 1600 episode guides you can put in the notes field. This remains local, but it may do exactly what you want and, you don't have to type in your own synopsis.

Jeroen:

Many times there is an Overview, but not always, sometimes it may be in a booklet, or printed on the insides of Digipak. Bottom line if there is one, use it. If not then...well for exa, ple, Star trek Remastered does not have an Overview, it has title, Mission date and Original Airdate, in that case for the Overview I would go back to the Originalk release data which DOES have an Overview, but if there is just simply nothingg there at AL:L and thjere are shows like that, then the Rules allow you to write one. I encourage looking around however, while a user-written Oerview is possible in some instances, it is also prone to the next user thinking his is better than yours and so forth.

Yes for Child Profiles (child profiles only) episode synopsis can be contributed. As the rules for the disc level profile says to go back to the standard rules (not the TV Rules) and there is nothing in the standard rules saying not to use episode Synopsis.

Matter of fact for child Profiles (Child profiles only) episode synopsis has been being contributed every since we started making child profiles for TV Series.

Another place to look for episode synopsis is the disc itself. I have a good handful of sets that when you play the disc... got to a certain episode... they have the synopsis right there.

When you add a synopsis to the child profiles of a TV series, do it in the language of the locality your adding the synopsis when you do this in the overview field!
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.
