| Posted: | | | | Hi. I've been looking into my collection just for fun today, and came across some rather huge mistakes. Or, one huge and one not that huge. I've also read the rules about adding info, but have a question. Is there any limit on how much I have to change to submit it? Or can I just change a name when I know it's wrong the way it is in the profile? In this particular case Leonardo DiCaprio doesn't have a last name, DiCaprio is listed as his middle name. With the effect that DVDP doesn't link the rest of his movies... And just because I'm curious: All contributions are read before they are put out there, right? Because on my listing of The Bourne Identity cast and characters looks very much like that of X-Men... | | | I reject your reality and substitute my own... |

| Posted: | | | | Forr profiler purposes, it would Leonardo//DiCaprio, if they are all done properly then linking is a non-issue, except perhaps for the possible oddity which might be an On Screen of Leonardo Di Caprio,(note the space), this variant would have to be linked to the more common name.
AS to your last comment, such things do happen, we are all too human, and all of us make mistakes even the screeners. It will just have to be fixed.

| Posted: | | | | I should add Genres to that as well, unless they are clearly wrong. Other than those two, any contribution that fixes a mistake, or adds missing data, is allowed and encouraged. Also, welcome to the forum. It's always nice to have another contribtor. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Hm. Not sure I quite understood what you meant there skipnet50. My DVDP says that DiCaprio isn't his last name, that in fact he doesn't have a last name. And won't link Romeo + Juliet (in which the error occurs) with f.ex. Aviator because of that. But hey, no problem. If I can change even little things like that, I can fix it myself. Was just wondering if I had to do big changes. | | | I reject your reality and substitute my own... |

Because on my listing of The Bourne Identity cast and characters looks very much like that of X-Men... I looked at your online database and indeed it looks like that profile is mixed up. Are you sure you have the right EAN for this title (3-259190-277229)? Maybe it's just a bad profile online but there's a good one already in the main database. It seems unlikely to me that no one before you noticed that the cast is from X-Men and not The Bourne Identity. The image online is too small to read the EAN and I don't have access to the Region 2 DVD to verify it myself. Maybe someone else can check the title and give you a good EAN if one exists. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. Was just wondering if I had to do big changes. As Unicus says in his post, apart from disc IDs and genres, no change is too small to contribute. Even if you're only fixing Leonardo's name - that's fine to contribute all by itself if that's all you want to. Edit: referring to Skip's post. It may have confused you because he's used a forum shorthand which you may not be familiar with. When we talk about name parsing we normally write: first name / middle name / last name so people know what goes in which field. So when he says Leonardo//DiCaprio, he means Leonardo (first name) / (no middle name) / DiCaprio (last name). Hope this helps! | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

The barcode matches the one on the back cover, however it's interesting that there are no contribution notes for this profile. It must have been one of the imports from Intervocative. |
