Hello,

I have bought my first Blu-ray (box set of Pirate of the Caribbean) and I have a little question about Blu-ray.
I don't have a player in my computer (I have only the PS3) and I would like if there is a way to know if the disc is a single or double layer. It doesn't seem, at lest on the Belgium edition of the Blu-ray, to have an indication on the cover to say if it's a single or double layer (even if this indication wasn't always true with the DVD it's a first indication). Or maybe is there only double layer?

Thank you in advance.
Regards
Cyrille

Have not found a way to visual recognise single or dual layered BD-rom. So a source could be the reviews at Blu-ray.com: like this one
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

Thanks Giga.
Indeed I think it's the only maneer we can do without a player in computer.
There is the info on the site www.dvdfolies.be where I buy a lot of my DVD but the info isn't always true.

If you look at the data side of the Blu-ray disc, you can see a set of bar codes similar to what you see with DVDs.  If you see two set of bar codes, it's double layer.  If you see only a single set of bar codes, it's single layer.  The bar codes are smaller and harder to see than on the DVDS.

Thanks for the tips. I will check to see that.
