| Posted: | | | | I made a contribution regarding "Subway" the French release DVD. In this movie Christopher Lambert is credited as Christophe Lambert. I used the Credit Lookup Tool and sumitted a "credited as" amendment. The standing is 524 : 41 in favor of Christopher Lambert over Christophe Lambert and I quoted these figures in my submission. If this doesn't warrant a "credited as" I don't know what would. I got two negatives one with the reason that Christophe is his actual name and another one two days later by a user who obviously temporarily acquired the disc in order to vote negatively. This user doesn't have the disc in his/her collection anymore. The reason he/she gave: Christophe Lambert is the real name and - specifically nice - "Doesn't make a difference anyway"! Now my question is: Do the ones who approve or decline amendments judge them on their merits or simply on the votes? Is approval/rejection an automated process? What for do we have rules? | | | Last edited: by Konrad |

| Posted: | | | | You are correct. Christopher Lambert [Christophe Lambert] on his Official Website: http://www.debzdesignz.com/christopherlambert/where you find the movie SubwayWikipedia Christopher Lambertmake a screenshot of the credit with your dvdplayer software on your computer. upload it to a website like photobucket.com include this link with your contribution notes in this format: square bracket open img src="http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj13/giga_wizard/MichaelPritchard.jpg" / square bracket closegiving you this result: square bracket open = [ square bracket close = ] replace the example link by the direct link from photobucket. you have to construct this link outside your contribution notes as the icons for doing this are not working in the contribution notes window. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions. | | | Last edited: by ? |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Konrad: Quote: Now my question is: Do the ones who approve or decline amendments judge them on their merits or simply on the votes? Is approval/rejection an automated process? What for do we have rules? The process is not automated, it is done by actual people. My understanding is they take both into account but, on occasion, they have been known to make mistakes. Were you given a reason for the decline? | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. | Posted: | | | | Thank you for your responses, Giga Wizard, specifically for the links, and Unicus69! I didn't get a reason why it was declined. |

| Posted: | | | | Just as a general FYI, many folks are submitting credited as entries without actually providing any sort of documentation that the two names equal the same person. They cite the credit lookup tool to determine which name should be picked, but never cite the website that shows that both names equal same person.
I'm not saying this happened in your case as I don't follow French profiles, but if it did there is a reasonable chance it would get declined. |
