I was just checking over the cast credits for the movie "The Endurance" and now I have a question.  The film, a documentary, has normal credits at the end, listing various cast members - these are entirely voice-over roles, giving voice to the Endurance crew, etc.  There are, however, several (perhaps 10 or so) people featured in the film as interviewees who are not listed in the credits.  Their names are displayed on screen the first time each of them appear in the film, but that is it.  My question is, how would these people be entered?  Uncredited because they don't appear in the actual credits? Or, if not uncredited, then do they appear before or after the regularly credited cast members?

Thanks for your input.

Tim

Difficult. The rules don't really cover this situation. Personally I would do those not in the end credits in order of appearance, then list those in the end credits afterwards.
I believe an aston strap is acceptable as a credit, so there's no need to class them as uncredited if they have their name on screen during the documentary.

Agreed with Northbloke
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Without meaning to sound ignorant (but I obviously am here) what is an"ashton strap?"

Yeah, I Googled it and only found "Juli Ashton's Strap-on Harness".  But I'm pretty sure that's not what he meant...

I didn't think so, either, which is why I posted my question here.  Maybe it has something to do with the news media in the UK?

Wait, what?  Well, forget that then.

lol, an aston strap has nothing to do with an ashton strap.
An aston is the technical term for one of those name straps they put on interviewees in programmes.

Thanks, North.  I figured it had something to do with the news media but I just hadn't heard the term before.  It was worth a few chuckles trying to find out what it meant when I Googled it, though.
