| Posted: | | | | I just bought this title and added it to my profiler, and the person who's added it has done a very bad job. Only scans, production year, one audiotrack and one cast member was added. So I have to submit the whole thing here. My question is, regarding to the rules, on runtime, the longest should be added if there's a branching title. But in this case there are two discs, the main disc (disc 1) contains Theatrical version with trailer and some documentaries. Disc two has extended directors cut (with alternate ending) a commentarytrack and more extras. So to the question: Do I use the runningtime from disc 1 only, and don't tick for commentary in audiosection, since that is only present on disc 2? I just tick for it on the Features? Will this be correct if anybody understand what I'm trying to tell ? | | | "What's God?" | Posted: | | | | yeah, I think I do. This is what you could do. Make the main profile a DVD Box and make for each disk a separate profile. You have two different movies. One shows more then the other or reverse | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | Posted: | | | | Yes I could do that .. Quite a pickle this one, but it was bought on impuls since there's no Blu-Ray at this moment. Anyway, I checked the US version, and that edition had the longest RT in profiler, and also commentary in audiosection. Just the same 2-disc as in Norway, but we have a DTS track(hehe) So I guess I would steal the US profile, change it to my locality, buy the Blu-Ray in september and give the DVD to my sister | | | "What's God?" As with 'I am Legend', I would use the 'bonus film' rule found on this page. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I would not do this as they are not two different movies, they are different cuts of the same film. As with 'I am Legend', I would use the 'bonus film' rule found on this page. and that says: Quote: Create the profile for the main feature in line with the standard Contribution Rules with the title of the Bonus Feature Film added to the Other Features field. Create a child profile for the "Bonus Feature Film" using the individual UPC if available or use Disc ID (read on a DVD-ROM) if not available. When creating a child profile, do not remove the "Bonus Feature Film" Disc ID from the main profile. When profiling the "Bonus Feature Film"
but you should leave the disc-id on the main profile for that bonus film. And now starts the problem: is the theatrical the main feature or the directors cut? main profile - childand not dvd box - child - child | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. dvd box - child - child Correct, the green one and not the red one. The post that I quoted, however, says to create the red one...which is why I responded to it. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Yeah you're correct I did say 2 childs. Became aware of the difference while copying the rule. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. This is due to a phenomenon called the PAL speedup. So if the difference is just this 4%, the film cuts will be the same. |

And that's 4% in the wrong direction | | | "What's God?" "You know when you want something really bad and you wish for it?, God's the guy that ignores you" -The Island, Steve Buscemi |
