| | Posted: | | | | I have a Sony STE-DE 435 reciever and it gets hot as heck. the vent on the top hard hot to the touch. The component part of my cabinet has a glass door just wonder how you all cool off your equipment. |

| | Posted: | | | | one thing to do is to make sure you have plenty of air flow around the device. If its in a cabinet there should be a fair amout of space around the unit...especially on the side(s) where their are vents.
one thing you may consider is if its cooler with the doors open...if so you may want to remove the doors.

Usually it's quite sufficient to give the receiver some air. I work at an electronic retailer. All our receivers are on all the day and I have yet to see one that's overheating when in regular working conditions.
