| Posted: | | | | I hope this is easy to understand I am using a numbering system with DVD profiler. I have a box that i keep all of my dvds in. Each sleve the dvd goes in has a number on the top. Now i have many "TV series" collections. So my question is, is there an easy way to add the entire set of DVDs but will label each DVD under one number. |

Adding by DiscId means that you insert the DVD into your DVD-ROM and DVD Profiler identify it by using informations that are contained to the disc. This way, you can add all your series discs to your Profiler. I do that, too: | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | If you want the collection number in DVDP to match the number on the sleeve, then you can manually change the collection number for each DVD to whatever number you want, or no number at all. Duplicates are allowed so you can use the same number for many profiles.
You can change the collection number in DVD -> Personalise (I believe) or when you add a new DVD to your collection.
I don't think it's possible to do it automatically. |

| Posted: | | | | I use the "Location" field to store the location of the discs. Somehow I get the idea that a lot of new users are not aware of this posibility (or is there something wrong with using it that I haven't thought of?) But then I do of course not have all the fun having to add extra feature DVD's etc as separate DVD Profiler entries, so I guess it is the boring way to do it. | | | Regards Lars | | | Last edited: by lmoelleb |

I do that, too:
I see the + next to the title of the collection, but mine does not have a + just a spot to flag it. |

| Posted: | | | | I know this old, almost a year old. I still have not resolved this issue. I keep trying with the tv series discs i have and each time i try to add the disc when it is in the rom it always ask me to manually update it. This is not what i want. I gave up and now i have tons of dvds laying around the house.
The screen shot from the previous poster shows what i do want. Is there any way to do it like that with out having to put the dvd in the rom? Remember i need each DISC to be numbered in the collection number.
Example:
Simpsons season 1 disc 1 (Collection # 1) Simpsons season 1 disc 2 (Collection # 2) Simpsons season 1 disc 3 (Collection # 3) | | | Last edited: by MurdaRisk |

Simpsons season 1 disc 1 (Collection # 1) Simpsons season 1 disc 2 (Collection # 2) Simpsons season 1 disc 3 (Collection # 3) Without the actual DiscID you will never receive updates from the online database. But you can add them via Add DVD -> Add by Title -> uncheck "Download from Invelos" This way you create so-called manual profiles and you can assign a number to them. After you created thos profiles, you edit the season profile and add the cihild profiles under the box set tab. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
