| Posted: | | | | I was trying to insert in my collection the box set "Tennessee Williams film collection", the EAN is 7-321900-814348. The problem is that when I insert this EAN the database provide me the profile of "Wacky races: Volume 2". How is this possible? It may be an error in contributing the wacky races box set? In the Wacky races profile there's no back cover so I can't check the EAN. What can I do? | | | I find your lack of faith disturbing. |

| Posted: | | | | Unfortunately it looks like the Wacky Races Vol. 2 profile is correct: you can see the back cover here. Barcode numbers have been reused by companies in the past, but it does seem to be getting more common. Best I can think of is that you use the disc ID of the first disc of the set to submit the collection. Unfortunately as this is a film boxset this means you won't be able to create an online child profile for the first disc. Either that or you can PM Ken with the problem - he may create a 2nd profile for you to fill in (but I believe he's only done this once before). I can't think of any other way round it. I think it may be time Ken reconsiders the 1 title per barcode rule. Maybe increasing the limit to 5 would be a better solution. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

Sorry, but I didn't understand this part of your post. The box set is a slip case containing 5 keep cases (each one with is own EAN). Why I won't be able to create an online child profile for the first disc? | | | I find your lack of faith disturbing. |

| Posted: | | | | The rules state for movie boxsets to be broken up to disc level profiles... so you profile each movie with it's disc ID. Because of this I would contact Ken about getting it put in the system through the UPC/EAN. You Can PM Ken HERE | | | Pete |

Sorry, but I didn't understand this part of your post. The box set is a slip case containing 5 keep cases (each one with is own EAN). Why I won't be able to create an online child profile for the first disc? If the movies have their own keep case and they each have unique barcodes then its not a problem. northbloke's comment was assuming that the child profiles for the box set would need to be by disc ID. -Agrare |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you, I've created the box set profile in my local database. Now I'm waiting for Ken's answer to my PM to know what to do. | | | I find your lack of faith disturbing. |
