| Posted: | | | | I had to reinstall Windows XP but I didn't make a back up copy of my DVD Profiler database. I did make a back up copy of my entire hard drive. How do I go about restoring my database from that file? I can see the "Default" folder in "Databases". Can it be done? |

| Posted: | | | | If you have a full backup of your hard drive and "My Documents" data then i would just copy the entire DVD Profiler folder (Default is a couple levels down from this). Copying the Default folder might be sufficient but i know copying the whole thing will work. You'll additionally pickup any extra layouts you might have collected and perhaps some plug-in info as well (though those will require re-installation).
And then adjust your toolbar so the backup icon is visible. I backup the whole thing at least every couple days...in addition to synching the data to my laptop...and a weekly dump to a DVD...and regular updates to DVD Profiler Online...and i need to get a bigger memory stick, just in case. | | | Bad movie?
