| Posted: | | | | For some reason I have several DVD titles (6 of them) that are not in alphabetical order. I did press the "collection sort" button and set it to title and ascending, but for some reason First Knight, Elmo's World: Singing, Dancing & More, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story 2, Lady and the Tramp II, all come before 101 Dalmations, etc.... the rest are then in alphabetical order.
Anyone know what is going on?
Thanks,
J |

Welcome to the forum Also, if you can't see anything obvious in the sort title... double check and be sure there isn't a space at the front!... I'm forever doing that! | | | Gavin.

Welcome to the forum Hey, cool. I didn't realize the sort title was availabl from that screen too. I've always changed it in the main "General Information" tab. It's the third title window, under the DVD Title and Original Title. KM | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Dolly's not alone. You can also clone profiles. Good point! Thanks Gavin. Yes. This is an excellent point. I don't know how much time I've wasted in the past trying to figure out why the sort title didn't work only to find that pesky leading space. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? Welcome to the forum That was it. I right clicked on the title, went to personalize and there was actually nothing in the sort title box. Once I filled that in everything was all good! Thanks! J |

| Posted: | | | | EDIT: If the sorting titles weren't corrected with the initial profile downloads after importing... Not at all, sorry. Sorting titles cannot be changed by batch (wouldn't make any sense anyway) EDIT AGAIN: Just checked through your online collection. You have several DVDs that are not recognized by the database. Please contribute them, here are the rules, which tell you how to do so. If any questions arise how to create a profile please come up again in the "Contribution Discussion" forum. Sort titles are just 300 and 50. thx It's because the program sorts by the first digit. A way around this (since the sort title field is personal) would be to create your own number format. ie. 0300 50 First Dates as the sort titles. just try different variants until you come up with one you like. My highest "number" is "The 4400". Thus, I've edited all my numbers to 4 digits, e.g. "0001. Knight", "0024", "0040 Days and 40 Nights" and so on | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
