| Posted: | | | | I watch Air Force One today and found something interesting.
End credits give the following: Gary Oldman as Ivan Korshunov Jurgen Prochnow as General Alexander Radek
Gary Oldman's charcter's first name is Egor not Ivan according to a computer graphic prior to him boarding AFO. Jurgen Prochnow's charcter's first name is Ivan not Alexander according to the film's dialogue.
Looks like someone dropped the ball on this one. |

| Posted: | | | | Seems to me this shows that ending film credits are not infalable. The film companies do make mistakes. So the question is do we make corrections that are seen and heard in the film or we keep the inaccurate film credits as they are. |

| Posted: | | | | Indeed: "we keep the inaccurate film credits as they are." Of course, you're free to correct them locally as you please - just don't contribute them. |

As Tim stated, they stay as they are in the database but you are free to correct them locally and not contribute them . Nice catch BTW . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | Keep it local... I had a much worse case with two episodes of "PSI Factor". The creators used in two episodes the wrong credits (in both cases it was the credit list from the episode before). So I uploaded these wrong lists according to the rules and then corrected credits with the help of some fan- and actor-sites. At least locally I'm now closer to the truth... |

It's just that they appear in a common location that everyone can see. And with very few exceptions, they won't change from one release to the next. On the other hand, the dialogue in the film might not be correct, either. It could be as simple as an actor forgetting that Jurgen Prochnow's charcter's first name is supposed to be Alexander (as in the credits) and calling him Ivan - and the person responsible for continuity didn't catch the mistake. I've sometimes seen a film or TV episode where an actor was called by his real name, not his character name, and it slipped through. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges.
