| Posted: | | | | So the two movies below are the same, just a different dvd edition. The dvd title is correct on both (top has the, bottom doesn't) but I was adding a link to the top and it should have linked to the bottom as well, bottom also already had the imdb link but the top didn't. This was because of the The in the title, and neither has an original title. So does the top get original title of 'Transformers: The Movie' or should the bottom one get 'The Transformers: The Movie'. Or does it simply need to go by whats shown in the opening credits? It seems like the 'The' would be trivial, but it effects the linking Opinions? The Transformers: The Movie: Special Collector's Edition Region 1 Released: 11/7/2000 Full Frame 1.33:1 Transformers: The Movie: 20th Anniversary Special Edition Region 1 Released: 11/7/2006 Anamorphic 1.78:1 -Agrare |

| Posted: | | | | Skip is correct. If the cover uses the word 'The', then it belongs in the title field. You can, however, use the 'Original Title' field for the title from the film credits. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry, may not have been 100% clear, I did in fact mean using the film credits for the original title
I'll have to pop the movie in my player and see what the credits say
