| Posted: | | | | When I start my version 3.1.1 build 1171 at the startup I got this message: Access violation at address 00A9E81C in module 'dvdpro.exe'. Write of address 00000014. I have Windows Vista Ultimate and have given the programm administrator rights. I have 3 times uninstalled and installed and every time that message. Also I tried to hold down the Ctrl-key. It starts but when I want to restore a back-up it closed the programm. |

| Posted: | | | | Hi, some proposals: - database repair - deactivate all plugins - change layout
Provided you have a recent backup: - uninstall the programme and remove all dvd pro related files in this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\DVD Profiler. Vista maybe here: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\DVD Profiler (handle with care!) - reinstall and start with an empty database first. - If no crash, try to restore from backup

| Posted: | | | | So the app starts but the problem is when you try to restore a database file? Try moving your database file to your desktop and restoring from there. Also look at the file itself - is it a zero byte file? |

HTH! When I start the programm and holding down the Ctrl-key it started. Than I restored my collection and it works to. When I use database repair it went good but after clicking OK the programm didn't start and gave the same message. I started with and empty database before and without useing the Ctrl-key. |

So I start with holding down the Ctrl-key and it's start without the message. Now I have restored the database and than repaired the database. After clicking OK same message. |

| Posted: | | | | Problem is solved. On my Pentium 4 pc I removed Vista Ultimate and now running XP Profesional 32bit version and dvd profiler works. |

| Posted: | | | | Sounds to me like the files, particularly the database file, was write protected. I don't think it was a problem with Vista per se, since it worked fine on your friends PC with Vista, but how your file system was set up. You say that you gave Profiler full Admin Rights but I don't believe that was the case. Perhaps the My Documents folder itself was write protected. Just a thought. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | Yepp, sounds strange. I don't think that Vista was the main problem. I'm running the Profiler without any special settings with Vista Home Premium 32 Bit on a Quad Core machine. Works perfectly! | | | Thorsten |

| Posted: | | | | I had the same "Access violation" note today and repaired the database. The program loaded okay, but now I don't have a complete listing in the online database. I tried to add by Title and entered "Star Trek". All I get is two seasons of TNG, but no other Star Trek collections are listed. I also took a UPC from one of my DVDs that I've added before and that one is not recognized. Can anyone help? | | | Geosnoopy75 |

Sounds like your onlinelist.dod file might have been corrupted. Try "Refresh Online Profile List" and see if that helps retore your list. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
