| Posted: | | | | Hey all... I have a situation and not sure how to vote. Superman: Brainiac Attacks... We seemed to both gotten the disc on/near release... and my disc does not have subtittles (even though they are listed on the cover... contributer's has subtitles (adding them to profile) I have just started looking but found 2 reviews stating no subtitles... Review #1Review #2Maybe there was 2 versions of same UPC# released? can anyone that has this title check your disc for subtitles... or shed some light on this situation? I am really not sure how to vote on this one... as of right now changed my vote to neutral. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Is the contributor stating the subtitles are on the disc, or did the info come from the cover? If the contributor only got it from the cover, then I would trust your disc and vote no as the disc overrides the cover. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with north. We all know how often errors are made on the cover. Which is why we say use the disc whenever possible.

| Posted: | | | | The Subtitles are on the Disc itself. but Addicted2DVD has a Version Without Subtitle, both were bought when DVD came out, which one do we go by. Both also have same upc. |

| Posted: | | | | That makes the most sense to me at least. not sure what else can be done. On that same token though... I am sure there can easily be someone else trying to add them as well.
But with the first one there basis at least they can be told of such a situation. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | if we add the Subtitle someone will continuely try and Change it back. if we leave them out someone will try and Add them. May it better to have more info than not enough. |

| Posted: | | | | Pete, I understand your problem, I would vote neutral until I could learn more. (Just my opinion.) Rory | | | DVD Profiler for iOS as of 3/5/2013 DVD Profiler for Android as of 5/17/2013 |

| Posted: | | | | It's possible that they caught the subtitling error early on in the pressing process, but some copies and preview copies (for the reviews) were still released. I would still allow the submission to go through, but make sure your notes say that some copies don't have subtitles. That should stop the ping-ponging. |

| Posted: | | | | Well.. that is the problem... as of right now I do have it as neutral. And info I find on it... half says subtitles... half says no subtitles. We have 2 releases of the exact same title (Same UPC #) Released at the same time. One with and one without subtitles. That seems to be the conclusion... and if we go with first in database that would be without subtitles. But either way I see situations like this that it will always be people thinking they are doing right... trying to change it to the opposite. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Is it possible to submit one on the disc ID or do both versions have the same ID too?
Edit: and from a database point of view, I find it easier to remove than add, so I would have the subtitles in the online database and let those without them remove them. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |
