| Posted: | | | | I have about 20 DVDs that I can't add to My Collection because the titles don't appear in the database (ie. The Last Laugh, 1924). Is there an option or link I am missing that would let me submit New Titles of old releases? If no such option exists, how and where can I submit titles to be added?
Thanks. |

| Posted: | | | | When I do that, it's pulling up Owned movies that I have highlighted, to add info to. How would I enter a totally new DVD that way? |

| Posted: | | | | It is a user-built database, if it doesn't appear in the database no one has likely added it. Time to read the Contribution Rules so that you can add the title. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

when you are adding a new title (to contribute it needs to be by upc or disc id, preferably upc if the dvd has one) there is a check box towards the bottom labeled 'download profile from invelos' or something similar. Simply uncheck that box, then it will ask you for the title (and i believe locality to go along with the dvd). You can then add the title to your database, It will give you the option to edit the profile now (you can always make changes/additions to it later).
Then, as Skip said, read the contribution rules. Update as much information in the profile as you feel comfortable doing (if you don't want to do cast/crew, or some other section, just leave it blank) and then contribute it. Then it will be available to everyone from the database. and the data you didn't enter may get entered by someone else down the line.
just remember, only official, store bought dvds are allowed. no bootlegs or homemade dvds (you can keep those local, just don't contribute them). Again, read the contribution rules, and if you have any questions about a contribution or specific rule, don't hesitate to ask in the contribution forums if a search doesn't yeild an answer.

Sorry I was thinking that your dvd was already enter by yourself in your database. Just do as you do usually to enter a new dvd with the UPC and it will tell you that it's not in the database. Just choose add to owned and the title will be add to your collection. After that just enter the missing information and contribute it as in my first reply. |

| Posted: | | | | LOL, thanks. I tried about six ways to get that to even look like it was going to link...thought I finally got it. Works a bit differently than other hyperlink inserts I've used. Try againGuess I should have tried seven. |
