| Posted: | | | | Good evening, Sirs.
Forgive my curiosity, but... I just visited a User Profile.
The number of the user's "Forum Posts" was: 1478.
But the following link "Forum posts by hp..." always leads to an empty page.
Why?

| Posted: | | | | I have seen this happen. Can't remember, off the top of my head, which users...but it has happened. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Well, it's not based on the number of posts, whatever it is. I was able to pull up Skip's history just fine. |

| Posted: | | | | When the new site was first launched didn't it count contributions as forum posts? So when the DB started off empty and the mass updates ensued, it counted everyone's submissions to repopulate the DB as forum posts? | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

There are a few users around that have a high post count with few if any posts. We had a look at it a while back and couldn't work out how it would have occurred. I put it down to some sort of glitch in the post count code. They may have received other peoples contribution counts when they weren't being counted for a while there or something like that. |

There's something as I say fishy about what he's doing (or trying to do). IMHO, of course. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. | Posted: | | | | I don't recall ever seeing a post by hpopp. It's probably counting contributions as part of the post count. If that is the case, the all posts by link is working correctly. |

For this is a Technical Support Forum: the result of the subtraction is actually 1. I can't help, something about your answers is 'fishy', IMHO of course. How is it, that your chit-chat-posts got frequently rated positive? Perhaps there is a miscalculation in the reputation system as well. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |
