| Posted: | | | | Couldn`t find this in any other forum, so bear with me if it has been an issue before. Tried to register Country of origin for "The Death of Mr Lazarescu" (Moartea Domnului Lazarescu), but Rumania isn`t one of the options. And I can`t seem to change it manually either. So how do I go about changing it? (If it is just changed in my local database it`s ok for me.) This may be a problem for other countries as well I guess. While surfing through the forums, I`ve noticed there are simple answers to most every question possible to ask, so I have full confidence in you. C`mon, you know you want to figure this out.... |

| Posted: | | | | You can't, the CoO list is only selectable from the drop down list in that window. You could however ask this in the features request forum, and hopefuly it will happen on a monday. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | Posted: | | | | The issue of expanding the CoO list and also modifying it to be able to deal with multinational productions has been discussed as a feature request in the past, e.g. here. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | Thx to both of you. One of the posts dee1959jay found suggested a form of free-text possibility, which was close to what I was after. But an "Other" in the the drop down list would at least keep the field from being blank. Atm, the bulk part of my DVDs are from a country called None. For now, I guess I could just type in CoO and other info under the Notes tab. ...or maybe take a look at the cover if in doubt. Have a nice Easter next week! |

| Posted: | | | | Even in this era of the CoO field I maintain my CoO tabs (although only for the less common countries, no UK or USA in there). This also allows me to cover multi-CoO productions (especially useful for collections such as short films) and movies where the definition of the CoO might be argued. To keep things neater, countries are grouped into continents. When the CoO field first came in it meant I was able to quickly add CoO to these profiles. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

Waiting until the list of countries is updated by Invelos, you can edit it to have a country that you want at the place of one you do not use. For that, you use a translation file (Tools, Options, System, Language, edit), and you "translate" a country you are sure not to use with "Rumania". But you must not contribute the concerned profiles and have to keep them local. | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | I would not recommand these alterations, if at one point you forget about it and do contributed this will mess up the online database (contributing at late hours after a hard days work) | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. I assume this would not tie up with the local currency correctly, or can you use the translation file to adjust the currency symbol and currency drop down menu too? It sounds to me you are confusing the Locality of the DVD with the CoO of the film. For the CoO, the currency (I assume you're referring to the SRP) is irrelevant. Of course, it's different if you're talking about DVDs released in Rumania, i.e. DVDs that should have Rumania as Locality (or any other country that's not listed at present). | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |
