I use the command files to automate the process of doing the backups and sync to phpDVDProfiler of my collection. It works well, but there's 2 little commands that I'd like added, if at all possible.

I find I have to do a Rebuild Thumbnails before doing the sync with my phpDVDProfiler, because if I don't, some thumbnail files are not created when I sync, and cause minor problems with some other stuff I use I relation to phpDVDProfiler.

Also, the option to automatically clean the image folder from the command file could be interesting.

Can't say I've had issues with thumbnails requiring rebuilding. Missing ones I'd spot (maybe), but out of date would be harder.

How are you noticing it?

But I like the 2nd idea. That would be good for me as well, before a rsync to phpdvdprofiler.

cleaning the image folder (and possibly some of the other database repair functions like removing unused cast\crew\studios) would be a good idea, could have that run prior to an automated backup.

Well, it's mostly on dvdcollectors.com, where a special tag was created to support phpDVDProfiler that automatically fetches the thumbnail image, and creates a link to the media page. Thing is, for recently added items, sometimes, the thumbnail will not show unless I browse to it online, or rebuild the thumbnail database prior to doing the rsync.

I probably should mention that I often add new items, and then sync phpdvdprofiler without ever browsing to the added item in DVD Profiler itself, might be why the thumbnail is not built yet.

I very often scan my own covers and replace the existing covers. If I don't rebuild the thumbnails after doing this, when I upload recently updated images to my phpDVDProfiler site, there won't be thumbnails for the new images I uploaded.

All weird. I scan all my own covers and haven't noticed this issue.

Perhaps, dvdprofiler should just rebuilt the thumbnail automatically if you load/paste in a new cover image.

I was actually surprised when I found it didn't do it.
