| Posted: | | | | There is a LOT of inconsistency in TV show titles for example Family Ties Season One or Family Ties Season 1. What is the correct standard. I'm tired of fixing my collection to have one standard and sure others mat be doing the same.
Should the number be expressed in a number or word expression. | | | visit me at www.disneybythenumbers.com |

Pete is right. A lot of users want consistency by THEIR definition of it, we do not impose fictional concepts such as consistency, our consistency is what is on whatever source is being applied...in this case the front cover, and Hollywood does not understand the concept or if they do it is by their own version.

I don't mind either one, but I'm sure we the majority could at least pick one and make it a standard. | | | visit me at www.disneybythenumbers.com |

| Posted: | | | | I am not understanding the confusion on this.
If the cover says Season One ... then that is how it should be entered.
If it says Season 1 ... then that is how it should be entered.
Am I missing something here? Locally(!) I standardized my database to

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, I've had a few series where they've changed the format between seasons. Simply put what's on the cover in the online database then change it to what you prefer in your local - that's what I do. |

OUR standards, depending on what you are talking are taken from the packaging or the disc itself. That is OUR standard. If Hollywood decides to be inconsistent, we still reflect the data as presented in the packaging or the disc. On TV Series sometimes a role will appear differentl from one show to the next and so does OUR data. You are free to apply whatever standard you wish to apply to YOUR data locally. That is why we have a two-tier system. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here
