| Posted: | | | | I'm working on doing some cast and crew for an old Hanna-Barbera series. Each episode has four mini episodes, with no credits other than title on the mini episodes. On the end credits there are credits for Story and a list of the people. Any ideas on how it should be credited? Here's a screenshot | | | Chris |

"Story By" should have its own credit in DVDP, but for now, the consensus is that it gets an OMB credit. The fact that there are no other writing credits does not mean that "Writer" can have two different meanings depending on what other credits are listed or not. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to disagree, but the only comment we have in the rules for OMB is "Adapted from another medium." There is nothing to suggest that all these writers have gotten together to write a story, which has then been picked up by the animation studio. It is far more likely that these people are writing for the studio, and so what they are writing is original material and fits much better under "writer". Though I do agree that "story by" would be a welcome addition. |

I was under the impression we only use OMB when there was also a credit for a screenwriter who did the adaptation. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
