| | Posted: | | | | For some reason, there seems to be a birth year for John Cleese in the database. As far as I know, there's only one John Cleese, and as such, a birth year is not needed. I thought I'd use this thread to see if I'm right on this, and if so, I'll open a support ticket asking for the removal of this birth year from the database. |

I did a (very) fast search on both imdb and wikipedia and in both instances can only find one John Cleese, so as far as I'm concerned I'm with you.
Granted: for Monty Python fans there is only one John Cleese, but that's as may be. |

| | Posted: | | | | I've come across this BY as well, and I think it's managed to find it's way into the database via a profile where loads of BYs were submitted. As far as I'm aware no one's been able to find a 2nd John Cleese, so there's no need to keep it in the online. |

| | Posted: | | | | I will. There are a few more I have strong doubts about:
- Producer Joel Silver seems to have a birth year attached to him. Why?
- I see that British actor Owen Teale had a birth year added to him, while I haven't been able to dig up any evidence that there's more than one actor named Owen Teale.
- The same goes for British actor Marc Warren ('Hustle', 'Band of Brothers'). There does seem to be a writer named Marc Warren, but no other actor. Since our cast and crew-lists don't cross-reference, I don't think a birth year is needed here as well.
- How about Robin Williams? I did manage to dig up a few other actors with the same name, but as far as I can tell none of those has made it to DVD yet, so for DVD Profiler purposes I don't see the need for a birth year.
- There is also indeed a second Victor Williams, but he seems to have only two credits to his name, none of which is available on DVD. There again I don't really see the need to add a birth year to the other, better-known Victor Williams.
