I recently contributed this season set twice, since it was declined for the same reason. Here are my notes:
"Here is what I updated: - Studios: I added Raybert Productions, who produced the show. - Overview: I corrected the episode listings and removed episode descriptions per rules. I also removed Hey...Hey... The Monkees are Back, since it doesn't appear on the cover. - Disc Info: I removed the Disc #'s, since they don't need to be there, just the episode numbering. - Crew/Cast Credits: I added these as credited. FYI Davy Jones was credited as David Jones in the credit, so I used the common name feature to tie it to other appearences as Davy Jones. The same goes for Bob Rafelson, who is credited as Robert Rafelson. As for the Bob Shannon as KRUX DJ credit, this comes from the episode trivia for Monkees on Tour, which is on the DVD."

Decline reason:
The contribution notes indicated a valid source for the changes, but the contents of the changes appear to come from an invalid source. If the source is valid, recontribute with an extended note. If not, please do not contribute the data that comes from an invalid source, such as a third party database.

Can someone please tell what they mean by, "The contribution notes indicated a valid source for the changes, but the contents of the changes appear to come from an invalid source," since I mentioned that it comes from the credits themselves and the uncredited from the episode trivia on the dvd. How can something be a valid source and invaild at the same time?

Well, eagle< i remeber seeing it come through, I probably voted neutral since I do disc level profiles and neither understand why anyone would wanty a huge list of data to dig through, I like smaller pieces, nor do I approve of them but I vote neutral. I know there aren't going to very many vote of The Monkees, what did others have to say with their votes.

I would question the Davy Jones Common Name part as he dhas not apperaed in very many films, and with the series his Commonn Name is clearly going to be David, unless they changed it in 2 & 3 which I don't recall, right now.

Skip,
Everyone voted yes, without a single not vote and maybe a few neutral votes that I don't know about. Nobody commented on them, exept for a few thanks.

I do have The Monkee movie, "Head," which he is credited as Davy Jones, and the Monkees tour DVD released a few years ago and he is credited as Davy. This was the first time I saw him credited as David. Not sure about his credit in the Brady Bunch movies or tv show. Will have to check on those.

I can confirm that he's credited as Davy Jones in 'The Brady Bunch Movie'.

I think he may have changed it or the producers changed it to Davy Jones after the first season, but I'll have to check on that, which would explain the credit on the movie or the Favorite Episode release.

i would also suggest in your notes about the uncredited actor calling him out as uncredited. Something like "uncredited actor Mr. So and So added with source <<you fill in the blank>>. This clearly calls attention to the uncredited actor and source.

He was credited as David on all 58 Episodes of the ORIGINALLY aired shows. It was changed to Davy when the show went into syndication, which is the source material for Our Favorite Episodes. While Rhino put out the Favorite Episodes in 1998 they did not at that time own the rights to the Original material so they had to use the syndicated shows which were edited from the original (too allow for more commercial time) and had fallen into public domain. Typical for many TV shows.

In the notes for the last two contributions I had: "As for the Bob Shannon as KRUX DJ credit, this comes from the episode trivia for Monkees on Tour, which is on the DVD." Which mentions the uncredited actor and the source.

The credits I used came from the dvd, which are the originally aired shows, which have the David Jones credit at the end of the show.

I think you are missing what I was requesting. in the notes section when you talk about the uncredited actor, use the words "uncredited actor" that way the screeners (namely me) know what you are referring to. In the case of a TV show especially, in the contribution window, the cast scrolls and scrollls, and scrolls. And the notes only show up at the top. So If you use the words "uncredited actor" in the notes immediately before you give your documentation for that actor, it is less likely to get missed or misunderstood.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I updated my notes to reflect the uncredited actor. They now say, "As for the uncredited Bob Shannon as KRUX DJ credit, this comes from the episode trivia for Monkees on Tour, which is the final episode on the DVD."
