| Posted: | | | | When I am going to add a old DVD I have, I'd like to place it with a lower collection number, so I use this "Add Collection Number" function in DVD Profiler v3.1.1 This moves every higher collections a higher number, as it should, but it doesnt on my online profile. If I move from 25 and up, with a total of 30 collections, The highest number then will be 31, so I can add my "new" DVD to collection number 25, but when I upload and refresh my online profile, I got 2x #25, and the highest collection is at #30. I'll show you: DVD Profiler v3.1.1 Here I moved Reservoir Dogs up from #25 to #27, and added Waynes World and Tenacious D to the list. Everything looks right. When I uploaded it, it looked like this on mye online profile: So on the online profile, none of the collections got moved up a number.. When I uploaded, it only registred the two new dvd's with the collection numbers I picked out, so I get double up with the same collection numbers. Is there some place I can take a FULL upload to fix this problem, or what am I doing wrong? I tried to search the forum, but I didnt find anything about the same problem. | | | Stein Åge |

| Posted: | | | | I think you're right about it only registering adds (or deletes). It seems to me that's the case, because the time to upload seems rather short to me (and I have roughly 5000 DVDs between my Owned and Wishlist. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that collection number is in your personalized data so changing the numbers isn't recognized by the system the way adding or deleting a DVD would be. Just a couple of guesses. What do I know? | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. | Posted: | | | | you are right it only uploads changes (and the collection number isn't recognised).
Your best bet is to upload an empty collection and then re-upload your main collection. This should get round this problem.
You can easily create an empty collection by using "File / Open / New database" Select new (empty) database Load this up to the online database Switch back to normal database Upload original database | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks pauls42, that worked great. I hope to see a fix to this problem in a later update of the software though. | | | Stein Åge |

| Posted: | | | | The problem seems to be the same as with the exported XML. Changing the collection number does not change the LastEdited timestamp.
But maybe that's exactly what the Upload is looking for?
Have you tried to edit the profile and leave it with pressink ok and then uploading it? | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | If you mean if I have tried to restart the software after I have done the changes, then yes.
But if I change the collection numbers manually and upload, then it will be updated. It seems that it's only the automatic number-changes that doesnt get updated. | | | Stein Åge |

Make a double-click on it and the edit profile screen comes up. Then press "OK". Quote: But if I change the collection numbers manually and upload, then it will be updated. It seems that it's only the automatic number-changes that doesnt get updated. That's my point. When you change it manually you have to edit the profile, either by double click or by context menu "Personalize". That seems to trigger the update of the "LastEdited" field. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
