I would totally LOVE it if DVDP had a checkbox or whatnot that instructed it to save the pasted cover image in the best possible format for contributing to the online database.

If set, DVDP would resize the image down to 500x700, sharpen, and work it's way down from best compression ratio until it finds one that takes it under the 200,000 byte limit.  This would override the compression level setting as both front and rear cover scans would most likely have a different compression ratio.

I would add the request that if I use the "open file" function that DVDP copies the selected file into the images folder without changing it at all.

My pictures have a file size < 100K after I scanned and edited it. After I opened it with DVDP the same file in the images folder is usually > 200K.
