| Posted: | | | | Hi, I have all my movies in books / folders, I was wondering if any one knows if it's possible to search for a group of movies that have been given a location or slot. For example if i want a list of what movies are in book number 5 am I able to search this way so far I haven't been able to find a way only able to sort by location or slot.
If this is not possible can someone suggest a way of doing this. Any help would be appreciated. | | | For every Great Musician, there was a next-door neighbor who said "Man, I wish that guy would SHUT UP !!!" |

The other alternative would be to use tags and then you could filter using them to accomplish what you want. Of course, you would essentially have to redo all the Location and Slots you've already setup manually using the tags to do that.
I didn't go looking, but I'd be willing to put money down that there's a post in the Feature Request forum to add Location and Slot to the filter menu. If it's not there, then it's something you could always add. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks, that's sounds like an option i'll have to go through the help menu to workout how to do it I haven't used tags and filters before but with 2000+ movies it sounds like it's going to take a while I'll check out the features request forum but your probably right I would say someone has beaten me to it. I have to say DVD profiler is a great program unless you want to search for something other than the title of a movie, I always remember the actors but not the name of the movie. Thanks again. | | | For every Great Musician, there was a next-door neighbor who said "Man, I wish that guy would SHUT UP !!!" |

| Posted: | | | | Hey Vega, Thanks sooooo much for the links to the old post they were very useful especially the one in Feature Request I'll use this option I think until a proper find function has been made as part of the program.
Thank you !!! | | | For every Great Musician, there was a next-door neighbor who said "Man, I wish that guy would SHUT UP !!!" |

| Posted: | | | | The only idea I could get was to sort by location / slot - which you can do just by adding that field to the list of displayed columns in your profile list - and then highlight a selection and flag this.
Then a report could just print off the flagged profiles. | | | Paul |
