| Posted: | | | | I currently have a few pending contributions, which I think are okay, but I'm getting nothing but "No" votes on my "Bringing out the Dead" contribution. I don't want to make lame contributions, so I'm asking what's wrong with this one? I only contributed the Cover Scans, because you can scarcely read the back cover of the current one. Mine is much more readable/clear. Is does look different, but I believe it's a legitimate cover. Why is everyone rejecting it?
Thanks.

| Posted: | | | | I don't have this title, but if by 'looks different' you mean the artwork is different, then if your cover is a re-release cover, by the rules it would be invalid as the cover image should be for the first release for the online database
the no votes should give a reason that would hopefully explain why the person voted no.

| Posted: | | | | Without knowing the UPC of the profile in question, no one can look and see. But what are the "no" voters saying in their comments? That should tell you what they don't like about it. A couple of obvious things to consider that may be the problem - is your cover a reissue? Is your scan of a keepcase cover when there's a slipcover mentioned on the profile?
Edit: I've just looked - the no votes tell you exactly what you need to know, you've scanned a reissue cover. Only the original cover can currently be submitted to the online database. They are nice scans, I see no problem with them in terms of quality, but at the moment you can't upload them to the online - sorry. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | Sounds like you haven't seen the vote comments
Since it's mandatory to give comments for no votes, you can find the reason on the contribution page. If you click on the vote count for that title on the contribution page, you will get comments from the 'no' voters and comments from those that gave one with their yes vote. | | | The colour of her eyes, were the colour of insanity | | | Last edited: by reybr |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting reybr: Quote: Sounds like you haven't seen the vote comments Good point - I never thought of that. I thought "how did they know they had no votes without seeing the comments?" but of course, your contribution page only shows numbers to start with. |

| Posted: | | | | The problem is you are submitting scans for the re-release.... and that is against the rules. The rules states you must have original release info/scans only for the online database. I know for a fact that they are the re-release artwork as I have the same cover-art as you... and mine was just recently bought and I had to ask if anyone had the re-release cover scans since I don't have a scanner. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Yup, that's what everyone is saying, "It's a re-released cover". Doh! The UPC is 097363-356448
