| Posted: | | | | I submitted the duet Deranged/Motel Hell (UPC 027616-878205) as a boxset, even though there is only one DVD, because that DVD is dual sided, one side for Deranged, the other for Motel Hell - that's two disc IDs. It was accepted, and rightly so, the rules leave no much room for argument on this case.
Now, I'm facing a new case : two movies on the save side of the DVD ! (UPC 3-760063-950069) Le retour des morts-vivants, with, as a bonus, the original Romero's La nuit des morts-vivants.
I think this should not be a box set, since there is only one disc ID, but there are two actual full featured movies, which means the profile infos will be problematic: year of release, crew/cast, overview, etc.
Hint, advice ? | | | Lernu la internacian lingvon |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting likwit: Quote: add both movies in 1 profile but use dividers for cast & crew This is the way it must be done if it's a double feature with both movies on the same side of one disc. As for production year, use the year of the oldest movie. As for overview, just use what's on the DVD back cover. If, however, this is really a release of "Return of the Living Dead", and Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" is only included as BONUS MATERIAL, then I don't think you should add the cast and crew for Romero's movie, but instead just mention the movie in "Other Features" in the "Features" section. In this case, all details in the profile should come from the "main movie", including production year. At least this is what is done for similar cases, e.g. where a TV series DVD includes a bonus episode from a different TV series; in this case the cast/crew of the bonus episode are not to be added to the profile, and you just mention the inclusion of the bonus episode in the "Other Features" section. | | | Last edited: by Behemot |

| Posted: | | | | If La nuit des morts-vivants is a bonus feature of the main release, then you could follow these rules: Quote: Bonus Feature Films The term "Bonus Feature Film" is used to define any feature film that is included as part of the bonus material for a single release. These are not the same as Double Features or Anthology Collections which are a collection of films grouped together which require the "Box Set" contribution rules. Do not confuse "Bonus Feature Films" with "Any video documentary material regarding the film, or those associated with it." Those are Featurettes. Some examples of Bonus Feature Films are: Previous movie versions, example "Ben-Hur: Four-Disc Collector's Edition" which includes the 1925 version. Companion movie bonuses, example "Season of the Witch" which includes "There's Always Vanilla" from the same director. Create the profile for the main feature in line with the standard Contribution Rules with the title of the Bonus Feature Film added to the Other Features field. Create a child profile for the "Bonus Feature Film" using the individual UPC if available or use Disc ID (read on a DVD-ROM) if not available. When creating a child profile, do not remove the "Bonus Feature Film" Disc ID from the main profile. When profiling the "Bonus Feature Film", only profile the data associated with that film. Any features associated with the Main Feature belong to the Main Feature profile. Add the additional profile to the Main Profile as a child profile via the Box Set button. Cover Images: Use the cover image from the Main Feature profile's packaging. Exception: If the "Bonus Feature Film" is individually packaged, use the cover images from that packaging. So Le retour des morts-vivants would get the main profile attached to the UPC, and La nuit des morts-vivants would get a child profile attached to the disc ID. |
