| Posted: | | | | I have some DVDs that are not in the database but I wanted to add them to my local collection, I mainly just care about the title so I didn't want to bother with uploading it for everyone else, and some of the discs were converted from VHS (such as family movies). Is there a way I can add these to my personal collection but not upload them to the public database? |

Just click on DVD -> Add to Collection like normal. Select the "Add by title" tab and at the bottom left corner uncheck the box for "Download profile from Invelos". Then you can type in any title you want to give it and click on Add DVD and it will add it to your collection. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

Then you can type in any title you want to give it and click on Add DVD and it will add it to your collection. Or, you can add them "by UPC", or by "Add Inserted Disc", if you want. You will be creating new profiles from scratch anyway, as long as you untick the "Download profile from Invelos" check box. Whatever system you choose to create your local profiles, you might want to assign shorter fake UPCs, for instance I use 8-digit fake UPCs: 00000001, 00000002, 00000003, 00000004 and so on... This way it will be impossible to upload them to the online db, even if you try that absentmindly. | | | -- Enry | | | Last edited: by White Pongo, Jr. |
