| | Posted: | | | | I've been using DVD Profiler since 2001 and I love it.
In 2003 I switched to the Mac and I love it.
I currently use DVD profiler on Parallels, but dream of a native version every night.
I've tried most of the mac apps. They're OK, but they all have the same downfall, Cover Scans. They all seem to get their covers from Amazon, which are usually bad and never uniform size.
Are there any plans to make a mac version. I believe there are a lot of mac users out there that would love this program. Just look at the popularity of Delicious Library. Just give it that mac magic and users will come in droves. It blows other mac apps out of the water when it comes to cover scans. Not to mention its other features, reports, filter, etc.
If not, how about getting in touch with mac developers to share the database. I'm sure one of them would be willing to some sort of partnership in order to differentiate from their competitors.

Is there a way to export the cover scans? I could then use DVD Profiler and a mac app side by side.

Eddie The images themselves are stored in jpg files so no need to export them as such, but as they are named according to the ID in the database (typically EAN + locality, disc ID, or something I don't remember for manual ID's) you might want to do the XML export. The XML file contains the ID used as a base for the image file name as well as title etc allowing you to link the images up to the right entry. | | | Regards

Ken did make a few minor modifications to improve compatibility, but there's a good few dependencies that need to be resolved if it were really to work cross platform.
