| Posted: | | | | I bought four DVD's today but two of the UPC codes are not recognized;
- American History X: Limited Edition (8713045214487) - Gangs of New York: 2 Disc Special Edition (8713045214432).
What do I do now? |

| Posted: | | | | You can insert the DVD into the computer and enter the profile through the disc id.
Go to Add to owned then, instead of adding by UPC, use Add Inserted Disc. | | | Last edited: by Kathy |

| Posted: | | | | I checked EAN 8713045214432 myself. It seems not to be in the database. The EAN is correct. Is it a Netherland release? IMHO it should be contributed (according to the rules). | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry, it means "In My Humble Opinion". I'ts an Acronym. I meant, that you should contribute this profile to the main database after purchasing this fine product. | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

| Posted: | | | | If for some odd reason, you don't want to purchase this program, or just don't have the cash at the moment, what you could do to get a profile that you don't have to create from scratch is download another locality's profile for that movie. I think you were talking about Gangs of New York? That should be available for region 1. So search by title, download region 1's version. You can change the upc under the DVD tab in profiler and make any other changes necessary. But you'll have the cast list and crew list and other basic info. I'd change the disc Id as well. Then, when you do buy the key, you could contribute the profile but in the meantime, you have a profile for this movie.
The other way to do this, is you can create a new profile. When adding a dvd to collection, uncheck the Download profile from Invelos button on the bottom of the screen. It'll ask you for the title and UPC and will create a blank profile that you'd have to fill in the information for.
Hope this helps! | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | If you follow LJG's advice, after changing the UPC/EAN, don't forget to change the locality and region as well. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

But somehow I stopped using it, now my collection is growing rapidly, I picked it up again because it's just so much fun. Downloaded it and turned out not to be freeware anymore. Anyway, I do intend to buy the full version, but I'm a little short on cash at the moment. I got a wife and kids, you know how it is..... . Thanks for the advice though, really helped me out |

Thanks for the advice though, really helped me out Just so you know, DVD Profiler was never Freeware. It was try-before-you-bye only it had less limitations that the current version. Hopefully your financial situation will get better and you can enjoy the full features with a premium key . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
