| Posted: | | | | Not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but here it is anyway:
I just cast a "neutral" vote on a contribution in the database. I then decided what I should have done is not voted at all, done some research on the title at home, and THEN voted based on the results of my research.
While I know I can change a vote from YES to NO or NEUTRAL, I don't see any way to retract my NEUTRAL vote so that the contribution shows up in "Unvoted pending updates" the next time I log in. I could find it if I choose "All pending updates" but that makes the list much, much longer (though it DOES show what I have voted (Yes, No, Neutral). | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? | Posted: | | | | No need to worry about it... Neutral votes is not voting at all... it don't show up as a vote... it just removes it from your view when viewing contributions to vote on. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | No there's no "UNDO"-function that I'm aware of, wouldn't make sense anyway.
I don't quite get your point, because voting neutral is like not voting. Or did you just want to undo your vote to vote with "Yes" or "No" after some research. In this case you answered the question yourself. The only way to change the vote is via "All Pending Updates". | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | to make it a bit more clear... you should view "all pending updates" - find the title in question, and you can then vote again yes or no... that will overwrite your neutral or non-vote. | | | -JoN |

| Posted: | | | | You'll just have to do your research, then remember to come back, find the contribution and change your vote. There's no method I'm aware of to have it reappear on your unvoted list again. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

What I wish I were able to do, and apparently based on everybody's messages and my own observation, is negate my initial neutral vote so it continues to show up for voting purposes. What I want to do is vote on it later - after research. When it is hidden from my pending list, it's harder to go back to vote over. Thanks, everyone, for confirming my suspicions. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. | Posted: | | | | I'm still finding instances, almost weekly, where I do an Online/Refresh Updated Profiles , and sure enough there is one or two titles I don't even remembering voting on or seeing seeing in the contribuitons under Database...
The vast majorities of the updates I see. and I say 'oh yeah this one and that one' .. But there is always that one title where I say What's this ?? Not even having a chance to review it first.
Is this normal? Does others see it this way too? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

If you don't like the changes uncheck the update. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Is this normal? Does others see it this way too? I've experienced this, too. I don't know why it happens, though. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah I still see some here and there I never got the chance to vote on (and I am here every day.... several times a day to check). I have seen this every since the early days of voting back at Intervocative. But I don't think it happens quite as much here as it did there. | | | Pete |

Is this normal? Does others see it this way too? I see exactly the same - and a) I do have my collection loaded up to date on the online database and b) I look at any database changes going through at least once per day. I can only assume that they are visible for less than 24 hours (and if it is there only whilst I am asleep..) | | | Paul |
