Once I managed to get a great scan of Born on the 4th of July norwegian version by using a clear plasticbag over the cover. The text on the cover is silver, and it was very reflective before I came up with the plastic idea. However I tried the same method on Young Guns blu-ray with a different result. The silver on top and bottom got bright white, and the white UPC got somehow pink   does anybody out there have a suggestion on how to make the perfect scan when many of the blu-ray movies has the silver top and bottom... My scanner is a Packard Bell 1200. My latest trick was to put a glassframe on the scanner itself, and placed the cover on top with the result that the scan got distorted, and now I'm out of ideas...

Yes, a clear plasticbag, but hard to make it wrinkle free. A laminator pouch would be better though. we have some at work, so I'm gonna try that and try adjusting the black and white levels too

I've the same problem with the silver edition of the stargate series (e.g. RC2, EAN/UPC 4-045167-005464). No clue how to make an acceptable scan
