you should look into the tag feature of the program... you are able to do just that with it... an unlimited... anything you can possibly think of.

Also have a look at the new box set within box set feature.  Many people use that to group things like you've mentioned.  Here's a sample screenshot (instructions below the picture):



To do this, Go to the DVD menu, Add to Collection, choose the Add by Title tab, in the bottom left uncheck the Download profile from Invelos checkbox, enter a title, then Add DVD.

When you have the profile added to your collection, edit it and add whatever Box Set Contents you wish.  You can add as many of these as you wish and even nest them as deep as you'd like.

Some helpful hints:

I like to set the Watched date on these as soon as I set them up so they don't show up as unwatched.

I like to check None for the collection number so they're not numbered as part of my collection.

I've created a tag called Groups and check all these profiles I create.  Then I can very easily filter these out if I want and see my collection in a more traditional format.  Or I can easily see how many "real" profiles I have vs. these fake ones.

And if you want to do a quick search for profiles in your collection in a specific genre, use filters: there should be a box Filters in the top left of your screen. The second tab, next to General, is Genres. Go to that tab and tick the genre(s) you're looking for. The collection list below the Filters box will display the DVDs that fit your genre selection.

I've also created fake box sets to house all my Hitchcock movies, Fox Studio Classics series, Documentary type stuff (with more boxsets underneath to categorize them) for my wife's stuff, HD material (with Blu-ray and HD DVD boxsets underneath), Walt Disney Treasures and a few others.  It's a really great way to group things together.
