| Posted: | | | | I was looking over the rules again today and I missed this update originally:
HD DVD and Blu-Ray discs in either HD Slim or HD Keep Case type cases without slip covers should be scanned without the HD banner.
Does this mean we should crop the image to cut out the Blue Blu-ray or the red HD DVD at the top? If so, a lot of images out there will need to be corrected. | | | Schultzy - http://www.michaelschultz.net grenactics - The art of skillfully fraggin one’s opponent with the use of grenades or other compact explosive devices that are thrown by hand or projected. |

The latest version of the program shows the proper banner in place of the scanned one. Those reflective covers make re-scanning a bear though. A couple of images i've fixed simply by cropping the top off the existing scan and resubmitting. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | Yes. It provides a more consistent look to the images. I didn't have Blu-ray or HD-DVD so i wasn't paying much attention at the time but i guess people were trying to scan the top of the case along with the image (because the proportions better matched DVD scans perhaps).
It's obvious when the banner has been scanned because there will be a double banner, one provided by the scan, another by DVDp. If there is a Slip Case/Cover/Sheath the banner is not displayed. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! | | | Last edited: by tweeter |

| Posted: | | | | There's a new checkbox in the Display tab of your options called: "Show banners for HD media in HD cases", make sure that's ticked. |

| Posted: | | | | Like with DVD's, you'll want to take the paper out of the HD case and just scan it, not scan it and the case and then crop out the case. |

| Posted: | | | | It's annoying that the program does not add the banner everywhere, though. It doesn't show up in reports, nor does it show up in the online collections. Ken needs to get this more universally applied. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |
