You could leave the DVDs white and the HDs are in a light red, the BDs light blue. |

I have all three in my db and being able to see them straight away would be very useful. At the moment I'm having to use tags which is not ideal. I can understand the value of coloring for a variety of things, even to isolating TV from film. That said I like the Red and Blue choice relative to HD/BD as it approximates the colors of the cases. I've read the article (it's a good one - thanks), and I've ordered my own copy of The Prince of Darkness, largely as a result of your recommendation. | | Posted: | | | | An alternative option would be to have an optional column in the list before the title which would show a red or a blue dot. Those that don't want it could just turn it off (or those that do want it could turn it on!)
That might be easier than colouring in the whole line. |
