Let me give details. This is a fine example of a user making an ASSUMPTION based on similar names, this time correctly, but did not provide ant documentation to support the assumption.

So I googled the name, it took about 5 minutes of rummaging around to find a logical conclusion.

The google led me to Skysound.com/Staff/Sound Supervisors, this yielded Gwendolyn Yates Whittle but nothing further relative to Young Indy.

So I look around and click on the tab marked Credits, there is a year pull down box, 1992 for Young Indy. Gooolllleee Sgt. Carter, there is Young Indy. Let's click on it and see what it says...Shazam it takes us to that other website listing for Young Indy where they list the appropriate credit. i think based on the direct link from SkySound to them, that we can reasonably conclude that Gwendolyn Yates=Gwendolyn Y.

Wasn't all that difficult.

It is not spite. Nadj, I have said this repeatedly. If you ASSUME that Name X=Name Y and do not provide documentation to support it. I will vote NO everytime. An dine day a user like you will assume that two similar names are the same person and it will be discovered that they are NOT, and the all of our work is questionable.

To not just you Nadja but to everyone. don't do half the work. Do it all and do it correctly or don't at at ALL....PLEASE. You just happen to be the target this time, next time it will be someone else. Earlier to day it WAS. If assume I am being spiteful then you are not as smart as I thought., which would be too bad. Truth be known, the Rules do not actually require documentation for linking, just that you must use the look-up tool to establish the "common name".

Not saying it's not a good idea...just that it is not actually required in the Rules.

Who knows? Logic doesn't seem to be at the base of it.
