1. Can we have a field to include video encoding formats? They would be
MPEG-2
AVC
VC-1
2. The regions for Blu-ray discs are A, B, C, or ABC.
A - North America, Central America, South America, Koreas, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
B - Europe, Greenland, French territories, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
C - India, Nepal, Mainland China, Russia, Central and South Asia.
3. Someone's already suggested adding audio channels information in addition to different types of advanced audio formats, but may I also request a box for encoding bitrates and formats so that all the information below can be entered.
1.5 Mbps 24bit 96kHz Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 channel
4. Can we get specific case name for Blu-ray and HD DVD discs? Currently most of them are entered as custom.
5. Can we add AR of 2.40 to the list of standard AR since many of the high def discs are labeled this way?

We will need at least - PAL, NTSC, HD 720i, HD 720p, HD 1080i, HD 1080p as screen formats - DVD-5, DVD-10, DVD-9, DVD-18, HD-DVD 15, HD-DVD 30, BD-25, BD-50, BD-100 as disc formats and - Dolby Digital plus up to 13.1 and Dolby TrueHD (lossless) up to 7.1 - DTS HD High Resolution Audio up to 7.1 and DTS HD Master Audio (lossless) up to 7.1 as the new audio formats for HD-DVD and Blue Ray media, perhaps, also different packagings for them. | | | Best regards,

I did some tests last time this came up, and it is possible to get both a name and a volume ID from a HD-DVD, just not via Profiler - so it looks like it should be possible some time in the future. You're right also that it would be nice if Profiler "saw" discs inserted in any drive. I have 2 DVD drives and still have to swap them via options. |

But what will be happend when edited tv shows recorder in pal or NTSC originally? For cinema films PAL or NST will not be used, but for others yes. I don't see why someone would put original NTSC material on a HD-DVD (other than bonus stuff). However, there should of course be a 24p, 25p/i etc. checkbox. But this is not PAL or NTSC anmore, as those mainly refer to the colorspace (chroma/luma) rather than fps. |

In that case, we need the next video formats Progresive or Interlacaded. SD (for old tv shows) or HD in 720 or 1080. 24, 25 or 30 fps. Cinema will be in 24, but old tv shows could be in 25 or 30 |
