| Posted: | | | | Hi there guys, I'm new and loving DVD profiler, one thing I'd like to discover though, is how many discs there are in my collection. For example, I have around 400 DVD's (cases/box sets/whatever) but I don't know how I can find out exactly how many discs reside in my collection. It would be a really handy thing to find out to be honest.
If this isn't possible in the current version, could it be a possibility for the program to generate a running total of the number discs in each entry, and show that number in the 'General Info' pane. Then surely it would be possible to then generate a grand total of discs in the entire collection as it does with the number of entries.
Just an idea, please correct me if this is already a feature. Granted not everone would find a use for such a feature but I would love to have it there as a record of my achievement! lol.
Anyways, cheers and hope someone can help me out with my query! Jonathan Thomas | | | "What a pathetic excuse for a DVD collection" |

| Posted: | | | | Just a question of understanding: Do you want to find out your actual number of discs (e.g. 2-Disc Edition = 2 Discs)? Or do you want to find out the number of Movie-Discs (e.g. Box-Set with 5 Movies + 3 Bonus DVD's = 5 Discs)? In the first case I'm afraid you'll have to hand this over to the Plugin-Development-Department. In the second case you'll have to download all the Child-Profiles for your Box-Sets, Series, etc (and hope they are all contributed) after this renumber your collection. The highest number should match. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

select count(*) from discs
Of course this number is only correct, if all the discs are added to the profiles in DVD Profiler. I didn't know it could do this. Sounds great. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Great news that I can get it working, I've installed your awards plugin and it's great. However, the CCV Viewer isn't working for me really, I don't know how to import my data, I've searched my hard drive for the correct file but I can't seem to find it anywhere and it won't work at all.
I'd love to get it to work as I know it's gonna be a fantastic resource. Great work TomGaines.
ALSO,
Is there a plugin that will actually display (in the DVD Profiler Application) the total number of 'discs' in my entire collection AND for each DVD in my collection as I click on them. e.g. King Kong: 2-Disc special edition would show - '2 Discs'? | | | "What a pathetic excuse for a DVD collection" |

You'll need to export your data from DVD Profiler first (in Profiler: File->Export Profile Database). And then you can import this collection.xml file into the Viewer.

You could ask Asphyxion in this thread to include a disc statisic in his statistic plugin.

| Posted: | | | | i think it would be an approach to count the number of disc-id's in the profiles. I personally would appreciate this to have this in the profiler. Maybe somebody could programme a plugin with a kind of query? | | | Thorsten |

Right that works great, however, I have my collection imported but I have no images like you have in your screenshot. Also, is there any documentation as to what the plugin actually does and what it is used for, excuse my being thick, but I just want to make the most of the CCViewer as it has a lot more information in the screenshot, information that I'd love to know! | | | "What a pathetic excuse for a DVD collection" |

The only documentation will be what I have written in this thread. If you have questions, just ask there. Questions regarding the CCViewer stand-alone program can be asked here
