| Posted: | | | | I have been trying to contribute a profile for the movie Bug. I bought the movie from Movie Gallery and added the new UPC # in the contribution screen. It has been denied 2x and I don't understand why. Can someone please explain? |

| Posted: | | | | We need a few more details. The first would be the UPC you are trying to contribute. It would also help if you told us what you were contributing and what your notes were. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

| Posted: | | | | Are you submitting cover scans showing the new UPC? I think they're mandatory for changing/adding UPC's. |

| Posted: | | | | are you using the full UPC code included check digits? are you documenting the additional information? not using imdb as a source! | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions. |

| Posted: | | | | I have never included cover scans for updating upc #. I'm not using imdb. I bought it and the upc # was not listed. |

| Posted: | | | | How much data are you submitting? Try submitting only the minimal information first (title, video format etc) and once that has been accepted, submit the rest (cast etc.) At the very least, this may help you work out where the problem is. BTW - you don't have any uncredited cast or any birth years on the profile do you? They need to be documented well or will always be declined. |

| Posted: | | | | Which brings up the question... did you check your contributions for the decline. Was there any type of reason given? You usually get a reason for something that is fairly common place. But not all declines get a reason as of yet. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I looked at the contribution. There are no sources listed. All you state is where you bought the DVD. You need to provide sources for the information. If it came off the DVD itself, then state that and it should go through.
In addition, you should not include the spine on your image contributions. That will also generate a decline.

That's a new one... Guess I'm way off there huh? Sounded good at the time I typed it. My mistake. I've always included scans when changing UPC's (I was a changing fool a couple weeks ago when Hollywood was having their closing sales and none of my new discs had the same UPC as the disc ID except one ). I guess at the very least scans make it easier for Gerri. Whenever I change one and have a scan it usually gets approved within a few minutes, never more than a couple hours. |
