Well, it must be a major change as I have requested this for years and it has nver been done. It's possible that it can't be done for some reason.

I would like to be able to give a collection number to an item that does not have a UPC or has a duplicate UPC.

Like I said, I have made this suggestion before and received many methods to work around the issue, but doesn't that suggest that it's a needed change?

Yes, I know about the slot number, but you will find that if you need to list the 2nd DVD that came with the UPC, you will find your life much more difficult. Although there are work arounds, the second or thrid DVD in a single UPC, is lost in your collection.

1) This is the feature request forum for DVD Profiler Mobile. You should post in the main DVD profiler feature request forum.
2) It does not matter how many years it is since you requested a feature. Feature implementation is typically a decission based on cost/benefit - and in most cases both cost and benefit remains constant as time goes.
3) This sounds 100% like "Add by disc ID" to me (not just as a work around, but as the exact feature you request). If this is not the case then I am afraid I do not understand what you want - which could just be me being dim, but there is a risk others (including Ken) do not understand what you want as well so I recommend you clearly list the use case (meaning what you want to achieve, not what you think should be changed in DVD Profiler as the developer might know a better way to achieve your goal than you can think of).

Nevertheless, you can already add a collection number to "an item that does not have a UPC or has a duplicate UPC". What you can't do is add two items with the same UPC - in other words, you can only have one profile per UPC. If you want to add a second, you need to "add by disc ID" as Lars suggests. Or you can add it manually (but you won't be able to contribute it to the online database). But in any case, you can give it a collection number. And if you make the thing a box set, you can keep track of all the disks regardless of how they're entered in your database - and give each one its own collection number if that's what you want.
